POY News

This month we said goodbye to Tim Hartley who has long served POY. We are incredibly grateful to all that you have brought to POY – it wouldn’t be the same today without you and we wish you the very best in pursuing your career at B Corporation – an organisation that is very close to our hearts and something that you should all take a look at.

POY has been working closely with EY on the Vantage Program since 2013 and we are excited to see the affect the program has on high impact entrepreneurs in the developing world. The applications for the next Vantage cycle are now open – if you’d like to become a part of it, apply here.

We are pleased to share with you our latest Impact Report. This document explains our progress and our vision and we want to say a huge thank you for everybody who has been part of this journey.

We are over the moon to announce that we will be hosting a POY Summit in Pakistan on the 10th-13th of November, 2016. Applications are now open for newcomers and for more information follow this link or contact the team.

Community News

This month we are lately but very greatly celebrating Colin Hewitt and his big win at the Scottish Edge final in December winning £100,000 for his cash flow app Float at the Scottish Edge pitching finals. We hear that the pitch on the night was perfection.

Laura Hemmati has recently been featured in ELLE Magazine in recognition for her services to women in entrepreneurship through her organisation Leaderise.

Adam Purvis, director and co-founder of POY has been awarded the Henry Duncan medal, an early career prize by the Royal Society of Edinburgh in recognition for his work in promoting entrepreneurship across the globe.

Munch Together was launched by MoIlana and Kyle this month. This concept is revolutionising the way we eat and building bridges by opening up doors and conversations to create a community around food. Sign up to become a founding member and get munching with some incredible people.

Upcoming Opportunities 

We are unbelievably excited to announce that we are collaborating with the team at Scottish EDGE for a POY retreat from the 6th-7th of August at our old favourite Harburn House. Applications are now open – Edge alumni secure your your place!

There are a number of competitions for you to get involved in – Launch.Ed’s ILG Awards, the Converge Challenge and the Scottish Edge Round 8 are all open for applications.

POY + Munch Together = Love. We would love to invite you to come for a POY Munch Together on Monday the 21st of March. Please come along and bring yourself, your friends, love ones, you dogs. We hope that this is the first of many 🙂
