PARTNERSHIP

An invitation to build a better world through business

At present ‘the positive economy’ makes up only 7% of the global economy, however it is it’s fastest growing sector. We are an organisation helping entrepreneurs prove it can be done, big business understand how to do it and governments facilitate the transition.

POWER A MOVEMENT OF GAMECHANGERS

There are 3 aspects to becoming a POY Partner:

Shape the Movement

The impact of our work will naturally grow as long as those involved find and offer something genuinely valuable.   This is about value exchange.  We invite you to get involved in whatever way works for your organisation.

Sign the Pledge

We have a Pledge, which outlines the principles of the movement, which you are invited to sign.  It is there to remind everyone what it’s all about, as well as what the opportunities and responsibilities are that come with being a part of this work.

Meet the Community

The power and potential of the community comes to life when personal connections are made.  We invite you to meet the personalities behind the movement, to learn, connect and trailblaze alongside them.

Alistair Bance

Corporate Sustainability – EY Vantage Program Lead | Global

“The relationship between EY and POY has grown significantly over the last 12 months and has been extremely valuable for all parties involved.

EY has been able to expand the Vantage program into new markets and build very strong internal and external relationships – this effort has been driven by POY’s ability to network across borders and make things happen.

Opening up networks is not only valuable for our program and the people who take part in it, it is connecting our business and driving cross border relationships and commercial opportunities.  For example, one of my team members is now completing a mobility placement in India as a result of a connection POY made for us.

What is refreshing about working with POY as a whole is the level of innovation and drive put into all your work – your ability to network with people I am interested in speaking with is terrifying.”

“The film demonstrates the strength of collaboration and shared value between large and small organisations. The honesty in the discussions between the EY Vantage Advisor and Entrepreneur highlight the benefits gained from a personal and business perspective. Coupled with the imagery of the city and working environment, this successfully captures the audience’s attention.”

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)

“Young people that embark on an entrepreneurial journey need the right role models and support to be a success, however the provision of world class mentors and role-models has been identified as an area  of weakness for start-ups in Scotland. For this reason RBS have chosen to partner with Power of Youth and the Scottish Government to break down this barrier. Being part of the growing momentum of the Scottish business eco-system means we can help enable and drive the spirit and motivation for more young people to start out in business, create value and strengthen our position within the world economy.”

Gordon Merrylees

Head of Entrepreneurship | formerly Head of Business Banking at RBS plc

“Our vision is of Scotland as a world-leading entrepreneurial nation – a place where growth and innovation deliver benefits to all of society. Scotland CAN DO is our way of making this happen. Power of Youth exemplifies this approach and the group’s enthusiasm towards values-based business makes it a first-class ambassador for Scotland CAN DO. I look forward to hearing of its endeavours at this summit in India.”

Scotland’s Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth John Swinney invited POY to capacity build the enterpirse ecosystem in Scotland
